In August 1993, Dalian Agrochemical Engineering Technology Research Center was established, jointly invested by Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences and Dalian Jingang Group Co., Ltd.
It gathered the top scientists in the field of chemical pesticide, biological pesticide and fine chemical. Developed by famous organic chemist Guo Hefu (son of Guo Moruo), Fenpropatheric acid has been approved as a national level new product by four ministries and commissions including the State Science and Technology Commission.
The amino-oligosaccharide project led by Professor Du yuguang has been included in the "95" key R&D project plan of The Chinese Academy of Sciences and the “863” Program of National High Technology Research and Development institute.

In December 1999, based on research center Dalian Kaifei Chemical Co., Ltd. was established by Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences and Dalian Jingang Group Co., Ltd. The registered capital is RMB 122.24 million. Located in Dalian Development Area, It covers an area of about 137,000 square meters.
It is equipped with organic synthesis laboratory, kilogram laboratory, pilot test laboratory, analysis laboratory, test laboratory, production workshop, power workshop, automatic packaging workshop and sewage treatment workshop.

There are about 300 employees in the company, including 16 professional technicians. 17 employees hold master degree or above.
